As part of a strategic national expansion, they are hiring a Vice President of Operations to lead and grow their commercial construction portfolio.
The Opportunity:
This executive leadership role will oversee $500M+ in active project operations across multiple offices, guiding teams and ensuring excellence from preconstruction through closeout.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level oversight across all phases of commercial construction operations
- Lead and mentor project teams across regions, ensuring safety, quality, schedule, and budget adherence
- Shape and drive national growth strategies in coordination with executive leadership
- Build and maintain strong client, partner, and internal leadership relationships
- Champion operational best practices, risk controls, KPIs, and innovation across all projects
- Support business development efforts and represent the company as an executive sponsor on major programs
- Resolve complex project or organizational issues with agility and foresight
- Lead hiring and leadership development to build future-ready operational teams
What You Bring:
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in commercial construction, ideally with strength in commercial sectors
- Proven track record managing large-scale, multi-project portfolios and regional operations
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (Master’s a plus)
- Deep expertise in project delivery tools (P6, Procore, BIM/VDC) and risk management frameworks
- Strong executive presence and a collaborative leadership style with P&L ownership experience
- Demonstrated ability to build and scale high-performance teams across multiple markets
