Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- General clerical skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Strong collaborative skills.
- Experience effectively working in a team environment.
- Employment contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
Primary Responsibilities
- Performs usual office routines.
- Maintains such student records as shall be required.
- Receives and routes all incoming calls.
- Assists teachers in preparing instructional materials as requested.
- Processes all changes and adjustments in student schedules.
- Maintains a log of visitors to the school.
- Operates computers, calculators, copiers and facsimile machines.
- Maintains student records database and student files, including but not limited to, inputting and updating student information, withdrawing students and maintaining accurate class lists. Retrieve information from database for required or requested reports, class lists, student directories, transcripts, etc.
- Completes reports accurately and in a timely manner.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned including providing backup coverage to other school positions and assisting students in the health office and contacting parent/guardians as necessary.
- Maintains a positive attitude toward job related growth and development.
- Communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people.
- Recognize the importance of safety in the workplace, follow safety rules, practice safe work habits, utilize appropriate safety equipment and report unsafe conditions to the appropriate administrator.
- Develops and maintains positive relations with students, staff and community.
- Performs manual tasks that support the educational program and the operations of the schools.
- Must possess ability to understand and work well with children and communicate well with people.
- Maintain confidentiality in all aspects of the job.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by immediate supervisors or Superintendent.
Working Conditions:
Frequent lifting and carrying items up to 50 lbs.; frequent sitting, standing, bending, climbing, pushing, stooping and reaching overhead; frequent listening to and talking with students, faculty, and other staff members either in person or via telephone and email; frequent use of computers.
12-month position, 7-hour day, 35 hour week
