Vertical Manufacturer seeks
Director of Material and Innovation. Responsible to work on innovative materials and advanced manufacturing processes helping brands create products more responsibly. Should be focused on textile innovation and sustainability initiatives & worked for some of the largest active/sportswear and fashion brands.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for the development of new and advanced materials in fashion.
- Lead research and development efforts to identify and explore emerging technologies and materials for use in fashion design.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative designs and products that incorporate advanced materials.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and other partners to source and develop new materials.
- Stay current on industry trends and developments in material science and technology.
- Manage budget and resources effectively to support research and development activities.
- Work closely with design and production teams to ensure successful implementation of advanced materials in fashion products.
- Provide guidance and support to team members to foster creativity and innovation in material development.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of advanced materials in products to ensure quality and customer satisfaction.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences to showcase advancements in material innovation in fashion.
