Company: Burnham Holdings Sourcing Company
We are seeking a President to join our team! The position is responsible for leading Burnham Holdings Sourcing Company. BHSC provides supply chain services to include procurement, production planning and control, and inventory management to Burnham Holdings and its subsidiaries. The position will focus on purchasing savings, inventory optimization, supplier risk management, and be the organization’s supply chain expert. In addition, the position will manage major spend categories across BHI to include steel, energy, and transportation costs.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned
- Lead and set strategic and tactical direction for Burnham Holdings Sourcing Company
- Establish annual budget and staffing plans to effectively provide supply chain services to BHI subsidiaries while meeting financial targets
- Establish and attain annual savings targets for BHI and subsidiaries
- Establish and attain annual inventory targets for BHI and subsidiaries
- Manage BHSC procurement processes and procedures
- Manage supply base to ensure cost, service and quality targets are met and parts are available to support operations and sales
- Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure advantageous pricing and terms
- Conduct supplier relationship activities and build long-term relationships with suppliers
- Conduct periodic risk assessments to identify high risk suppliers and how best to mitigate those risks
- Monitor and report on inflationary pressures using a collection of cost indicators
- Manage steel costs leveraging the spend across BHI
- Manage electric and natural gas costs by utilizing energy consulting services
- Manage transportation costs by managing a corporate relationship with a 3PL and small parcel provider and consulting services
- Manage supply chain and quality consultant in China
- Manage production planning and control processes and procedures for supported BHI subsidiaries
- Review and improve processes utilizing a continuous improvement methodology to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the organization
- Travel is required to support supplier management
- Other tasks as assigned

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or five to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of ERP and MRP Systems; spreadsheets; database software; manufacturing software and word processing software.
