About the Company: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Operations – Manufacturing to lead and oversee our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will bring over 15 years of experience, preferably within OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) environments, with a strong background in foundry operations and mechanical engineering. This individual will be responsible for ensuring operational excellence, driving continuous improvement, and leading a high-performing team to deliver quality products on time and within budget.
About the Role: The Director of Operations will lead end-to-end manufacturing operations, ensuring optimal efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations, ensuring optimal efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement strategic operational plans aligned with company goals.
- Manage daily activities across production, maintenance, quality, and supply chain functions.
- Oversee foundry operations and ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, procurement, and quality assurance.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
- Monitor KPIs to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of managers, supervisors, and production staff.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, including ISO and OSHA.
- Support new product introductions and process innovations in coordination with R&D and design teams.
- Optimize resource utilization, workflow planning, and capacity management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s degree or MBA is a plus.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably in OEM and foundry environments.
- Proven leadership experience managing diverse teams in a high-volume, complex manufacturing setting.
- Deep understanding of metal casting, machining, fabrication, and assembly processes.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in ERP systems, production planning tools, and performance management systems.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collaborative leadership style.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with global supply chain coordination and vendor management.
- Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar operational excellence programs.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure while maintaining a focus on results.
- Track record of driving transformational change and operational efficiency.
