The Director of Operations fosters a culture of excellence, oversees manufacturing processes, implements efficiency measures, and collaborates cross-functionally to ensure optimal production and quality control, while exercising discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance.
- Provide strategic leadership to the operations team by setting clear, measurable goals aligned with ABG's mission, vision, and growth plans
- Mentor and develop supervisors and foremen, guiding performance evaluations, training initiatives, and succession planning
- Champion a high-performance culture rooted in ABG's core values and the CPCS ("cool people, cool stuff") mindset
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Engineering, and HR to streamline processes, improve collaboration, and drive organizational efficiency
- Oversee end-to-end manufacturing and support operations, including Quality, Facilities, Logistics, Warehousing, and Shipping/Receiving
- Develop and manage production scheduling and capacity planning tools to optimize labor, equipment utilization, and on-time delivery
- Drive the adoption of lean manufacturing principles and best practices to reduce waste, improve throughput, and ensure product quality
- Implement robust inventory and supply chain systems to reduce lead times, control costs, and improve material flow
- Establish and enforce rigorous quality standards in partnership with the QA team, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and industry benchmarks
- Identify opportunities to leverage automation and emerging technologies to drive innovation and improve operational effectiveness
- Define, track, and report on operational KPIs to assess performance, support decision-making, and continuously improve outcomes
- Deliver actionable insights to senior leadership through comprehensive reporting and data-driven operational analysis
- Lead change management initiatives to drive cultural transformation and operational scalability
- Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and environmental standards, proactively identifying and mitigating risks
- Contribute to long-term strategic planning and budgeting processes, ensuring operational alignment with business objectives
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Strategy, or a related field. MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and translate ideas into actionable plans
- Excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes, technologies, and best practices
- Microsoft application fluency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, and Teams
Physical Demands

The role typically involves prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
