Position Overview

As the Manufacturing Director, you will lead our client's Mobile, Alabama production facility, overseeing all manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with GMP standards. You will mentor a junior team member, streamline processes, and implement strategies to enhance productivity in our liquid cosmetics production. This role requires relocation to the Mobile, Alabama metro area and offers an opportunity to shape the future of a dynamic, eco-conscious brand.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily manufacturing operations for liquid beauty and cosmetics products, ensuring adherence to GMP certifications and quality standards.
Streamline production processes to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize resource utilization.
Develop and implement SOPs, training programs, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance.
Mentor and guide a junior team member, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
Collaborate with supply chain, quality assurance, and R&D teams to ensure seamless production and product innovation.
Monitor KPIs (e.g., production output, downtime, defect rates) and provide actionable reports to senior leadership.

Qualifications

4+ years of experience in manufacturing leadership, preferably in beauty, cosmetics, or liquid product production.
Proven expertise in GMP-certified environments, with a track record of streamlining operations and improving efficiency.
Strong leadership skills with experience mentoring junior staff and driving cross-functional collaboration.
Knowledge of liquid formulation processes and equipment used in cosmetics manufacturing.
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field; advanced degree or certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma) a plus.
Willingness to relocate to the Mobile, Alabama metro area.
