Job Title: Vice President of Product
Overview
Our brand is seeking an experienced and visionary Vice President of Product to lead the end-to-end product strategy for our luxury lifestyle categories. This role is both highly strategic and deeply rooted in design, responsible for shaping the physical product direction of the company while guiding a multidisciplinary team across design, technical design, sourcing, and development. The VP of Product will drive innovation, enhance product excellence, streamline workflows, and oversee the successful launch of new SKUs that embody the brand’s DNA.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Leadership
- Define and lead the long-term product vision, ensuring alignment with brand goals and market opportunity.
- Serve as the strategic design leader—setting design principles, seasonal direction, materials strategy, and product architecture.
- Drive concept-to-market strategy, overseeing product roadmaps, launch timelines, and portfolio expansion.
- Analyze market trends, competitive landscape, and consumer insights to inform product decisions and opportunity areas.
Design & Development Oversight
- Lead the design, technical design, sourcing, and development teams to create elevated, innovative, and category-leading products.
- Provide creative direction, product feedback, and approvals throughout the design and development lifecycle.
- Ensure all products uphold the brand’s premium aesthetic, craftsmanship standards, and functional performance expectations.
- Partner closely with cross-functional leaders across merchandising, marketing, operations, and finance to align on product priorities and business needs.
Team Building & Organizational Excellence
- Assess, build, and elevate the product organization to support future growth.
- Establish best-in-class workflows, tools, and processes—improving efficiency, communication, and product quality.
- Mentor team members across disciplines, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous learning.
- Strengthen partnerships with mills, manufacturers, and supply chain partners to ensure innovation, quality, and speed-to-market.
SKU Launch & Lifecycle Management
- Own end-to-end SKU launch strategy, from seasonal line planning through delivery.
- Drive cross-functional alignment on timelines, costing, margin targets, and production execution.
- Monitor product performance post-launch, leveraging insights to optimize lifecycle, pricing, and future iterations.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of product creation experience within luxury, home, lifestyle, apparel, or adjacent premium categories.
- Proven track record leading product design and development organizations.
- Strong design sensibility with the ability to balance creative direction and commercial strategy.
- Deep understanding of materials, construction, sourcing, and manufacturing processes.
- Exceptional leadership skills with experience building and developing high-performing teams.
- Ability to work fluidly across creative, operational, and executive functions.
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on, solution-oriented approach.
