A robotics company working on next generation general purpose systems is hiring a Head of Supply Chain and Manufacturing Engineering. The focus is taking complex robotic prototypes and turning them into repeatable, cost efficient products that can be built at scale.
You will lead the transition from early prototype builds to structured low volume runs and then toward 300 to 400 units per month. The work combines engineering depth, supplier oversight, and hands on manufacturing ownership.
What you will work on
• Guiding DFM, DFA, and cost optimisation with mechanical and electrical teams
• Managing global suppliers and contract manufacturers including China based vendors
• Running BOM optimisation, cost models, and manufacturability reviews
• Building the operational path from refinement to reliable production
• Leading low volume builds before scaling up to higher throughput
What they are looking for
• 10 plus years in supply chain and manufacturing engineering
• Strong mechanical engineering foundation
• Experience taking robotics or complex hardware from 0 to 1
• Confident managing overseas suppliers and production partners
