Position Overview
The Plant Manager (Plastics) will oversee all aspects of the manufacturing process within our plastics production facility. This role is crucial for ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining high safety and quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee daily operations of the plastics manufacturing plant
- Develop and implement strategies to improve manufacturing processes and efficiencies
- Control and manage budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
- Monitor and maintain the quality of products throughout the production process
- Coordinate with supply chain and materials management to ensure timely availability of resources
- Lead and mentor plant staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration
- Implement preventive maintenance programs to enhance equipment reliability
- Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Oversee injection molding and blow molding processes, ensuring optimal performance and output
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field
- Proven experience in plant management or a similar role in the plastics industry
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, especially injection and blow molding
- Experience with budget management and cost control
- Familiarity with supply chain management and materials planning
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma
