About The Role
We are seeking a Travel Registered Nurse to support several clinics within a 50-mile radius of Washington, DC. In this role, you will deliver personalized travel health consultations, administer vaccines, and provide exceptional client education and service. This is a unique opportunity to combine your clinical expertise with proactive, client-centered care in a dynamic and independent setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct individualized pre-travel consultations based on clinical guidelines and standing orders
- Administer vaccines safely and effectively; monitor for adverse reactions
- Educate clients on destination-specific risks, vaccines, and prevention strategies
- Recommend appropriate vaccines, medications, and travel health products
- Deliver excellent customer service in both clinic and offsite settings (e.g., corporate wellness events)
- Participate in ongoing company and travel medicine training
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, medical directives, and documentation standards
- Assist with clinic operations including organization, inventory, and cleanliness
- Maintain a clean, professional, and well-stocked clinical environment
What You’ll Need
- Active RN license in your residential state, in good standing with no restrictions
- 5+ years of RN experience (travel medicine or public health preferred)
- Ability to travel to clinics within a 50-mile radius weekly; reliable transportation required
- Strong experience and comfort with vaccine administration
- Ability to cover nearby locations on short notice when needed
- Proficiency with technology, especially Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Drive, Meet)
- Access to a personal computer for training and communication
- Ability to work independently while delivering consultative, client-focused care
- Comfort discussing services, recommending products, and collecting payments
- Ability to lift, transport, and manage vaccines and clinic supplies
- Excellent communication, organizational, and client-facing skills
