We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Clinical Supervisor. This is a working supervisory role, ideal for a clinically skilled and team-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced outpatient environment. The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for both direct patient care and day-to-day operational oversight of the clinical team.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties:
- Participate in direct patient care, including:
- Triage of pediatric patients
- Assisting with rooming and vital signs
- Performing clinical procedures within scope of practice
- Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to medical assistants and nursing staff
- Ensure safe, high-quality, and compassionate care is delivered to all patients
Administrative & Supervisory Duties
- Collaborate with Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of the clinical team, ensuring adequate staffing and workflow efficiency
- Collaborate with Practice Manager to support onboarding, training, and ongoing development of clinical staff
- Monitor compliance with safety and infection control standards
- Collaborate with practice leadership to improve processes and patient experience
- Collaborate with Practice Manager to assist with scheduling, timecard approvals, and performance evaluations
- Collaborate with Practice Manager to facilitate team communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution
Schedule
- Full-time: 40 hours/week
- Choice of schedule:
- Four 10-hour days (e.g., Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday)
- Five 8-hour days (Monday–Friday)
Summary
The Supervisor – Clinical RN role is responsible for supervising assigned staff within the assigned work areas(s).
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing required. BSN preferred.
- License/Certifications: Current State of Maine Nursing License or eligible for licensure to practice in Maine. Current BLS Certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date.
- Experience: Two years of RN experience required. Experience in area of specialty may be required. Supervisory experience preferred.
