This is a full-time 12-hr Day shift position located in La Jolla.

This nationally recognized Southern California hospital also provides a Level II Trauma center and 24-hour emergency services. Join Scripps Health at Registered Nurse – RN – Medical Oncology unit and make a positive difference in the lives of the patients we serve. This 60 bed Med/Surg and Oncology unit prides itself on offering excellence in patient care. As a Model Care and designated training unit, you will have the opportunity to positively impact new nurses and be part of fostering new grads to be successful.
With a 4/5:1 Nurse to Patient ratio, you will provide direct patient care within the scope of your practice. Patient care includes assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care, and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. You will take primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision. Work collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

Required Experience/Specialized Skills
- Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.
- CA RN License
- One year RN experience.
- Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.
Required Certification/Registration
- Current CA RN License
- Current American Heart Association BLS
Preferred
- Chemo certification
- Healing Touch or Palliative Care experience preferred
- One year acute care RN experience.
- One year of Oncology RN experience
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
- Preceptor experience highly preferred.

Position Pay Range: $58.00-$84.00/hour
