We’re looking for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), licensed in the State of Ohio, to lead our nursing team during the night shift. As the Night Shift Nurse Supervisor, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive high-quality care and support throughout the night. You’ll be the primary clinical leader during overnight hours, working closely with administrative and medical staff to maintain safety, comfort, and continuity of care. Qualifications:

Genuine interest in geriatric and long-term care nursing.

Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills.

Physically capable and emotionally stable to manage overnight responsibilities.

Familiarity with facility policies, procedures, and emergency protocols.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective team leadership.

Current LPN or RN license in good standing.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintains awareness that high occupancy and quality care are essential to facility success.

Conducts rounds across all units to assess resident care and staff performance.

Identifies and reports any issues or concerns to the Administrator or on-call leadership.

Monitors and documents changes in residents’ conditions, ensuring timely interventions.

Collaborates with other departments as needed (e.g., dietary, pharmacy, therapy) to support resident care.

Supervises nursing personnel across all units during the night shift.

Supports staff education, orientation, and training as needed.

Reviews and updates nursing care plans to reflect current resident needs.

Completes assigned duties and projects as directed by the DON or ADON.

Provides a detailed written report to the DON summarizing overnight activities and incidents.

Assists in implementing directives from the DON and supports continuity of care.

Conducts periodic audits of resident care and compiles reports for review.

Manages nursing-related issues and emergencies during night hours.

Ensures follow-up on pharmacist recommendations and medication protocols.

Provides direct care when necessary due to staffing shortages or emergencies.
