Description
The Assistant Vice-President of Nursing plans, integrates, contracts and evaluates human, material and fiscal resources required to provide patient care in multiple settings. Defines and supports professional practice. Provides leadership in establishing standards, goals and direction for nursing services/programs. Facilitates the development of leadership and management expertise. Has full access to patient health information.

- Establishes effective and efficient staffing systems that support daily operations and meet the department/program standards.

Requirements
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina. Baccalaureate degree and Master’s degree required (one must be in nursing). National certification preferred.
- At least 5 years nursing management experience.
- Ability to apply sound principles of management and leadership to achieve hospital and nursing goals.
- Ability to apply fiscal process to staffing strategies.
- Must possess full range of body motion to pass a basic FIT test to include bending, stooping, standing and sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
