The Head of Operations will lead all day-to-day production, inventory, logistics, and operational efficiency across the organization. This role is designed for a hands-on leader who can build structure, strengthen performance systems, and elevate operational execution while supporting the CEO’s focus on sales, marketing, and product innovation.
This is a key leadership role with real influence over how the company scales, maintains craftsmanship, and builds a culture of excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership & Production Excellence
- Lead daily operations across manufacturing, finishing, logistics, and inventory.
- Implement efficient, repeatable systems to support scale, quality, and delivery timelines.
- Reduce production times while preserving artisan craftsmanship and product standards.
Supply Chain & Inventory Management
- Oversee material planning, importing, and inventory flow to ensure consistent availability.
- Establish forecasting tools and visibility into materials, purchasing, and lead times.
- Coordinate with suppliers and freight partners to support growth and volume increases.
Performance, Metrics & Accountability
- Build clear KPIs, production schedules, and reporting dashboards.
- Drive on-time delivery, throughput, and operational reliability.
- Collaborate with finance to align operational reporting with margins, cost control, and P&L visibility.
Safety, Culture & Team Leadership
- Implement and enforce OSHA-compliant safety standards and shop-floor procedures.
- Mentor and develop team leads; foster a culture of professionalism, clarity, and accountability.
- Be a consistent on-site leader who models reliability, communication, and continuous improvement.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven success leading operations in a small to mid-sized manufacturing environment (15–30+ employees).
- Experience building systems, SOPs, and performance frameworks in a scaling company.
- Strong communicator who connects well with both leadership and shop-floor teams.
- Skilled in production planning, supply chain coordination, and workflow optimization.
- Calm under pressure, solutions-oriented, and focused on results.
- Passion for craftsmanship, product quality, and team culture and not just output.
