About the Opportunity
Join a growing industrial manufacturing and distribution company in a CEO succession role. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with the current CEO to learn the business before transitioning into the CEO position. Backed by private equity, the organization leverages a global manufacturing network to deliver custom-engineered products and is positioned for significant growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Determine and implement the company's strategic vision for significant and sustainable growth
 - Drive revenue through business development and represent the company to current and prospective clients
 - Accelerate key growth initiatives 
 - Promote development of existing and new products to build market share and profitability
 - Optimize replenishment strategies between suppliers, headquarters, and business partners to improve delivery performance and meet working capital objectives
 - Partner with business unit heads to ensure consistent quality, process controls, and regulatory compliance
 - Approve annual budgets and provide strategic financial leadership on organizational decisions
 - Provide day-to-day leadership to management team and employees
 - Conduct regular business reviews to ensure performance against annual business plan targets
 - Build intellectual property pipeline and evaluate long-range planning and new market strategies
 - Source, assess, execute, and integrate strategic acquisitions to accelerate growth
 - Foster an environment of continuous improvement through guidance, development, and training
 - Present quarterly business updates to Board of Directors
 
Required Qualifications
Critical Experience:
- Proven track record as CEO, President, or GM with full P&L responsibility in a private equity-backed organization
 - Sales experience with industrial products through retail and distribution channels
 - Success leading a middle-market business competing against larger competitors
 - Entrepreneurial mindset with outstanding leadership skills and roll-up-your-sleeves approach
 - Strong business acumen and results-oriented execution
 
Education:
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
 
Preferred:
- Manufacturing operations experience
 - Private equity portfolio company leadership experience
 - Board presentation and reporting experience
