Position Summary
CITEL is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Operations who will oversee the Production, Quality, and Logistics departments at our fast-growing U.S. subsidiary. This role is pivotal in optimizing all material flows, from component reception through production and delivery, while ensuring operational excellence and supporting CITEL’s ambitious growth objectives. The Director of Operations will manage a team of approximately 25 employees and collaborate closely with Sales, Engineering, and other departments to implement best practices, drive continuous improvement, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management
- Lead and develop the Production, Logistics, and Quality teams to achieve excellence in quality, cost, and delivery.
- Foster a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure alignment between operational goals and company strategy.
Operational Strategy and Execution
- Oversee all material flows, from component reception to final product delivery.
- Implement and optimize processes, methods, and digital tools to support the industrial plan.
- Lead cost reduction, margin optimization, and productivity improvement initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Engineering, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination and execution.
- Align operational activities with customer expectations and business objectives.
Performance Management
- Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across production, logistics, and quality.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Compliance and Standards
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
- Promote a safe and protective work environment for all employees.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Operational Efficiency: Improvements in cost, quality, and delivery metrics.
- Team Development: Growth, engagement, and performance of operational teams.
- Process Optimization: Successful implementation of new methods and tools.
- Compliance: Adherence to HSE and regulatory standards.
- Customer Satisfaction: On-time delivery and quality performance.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in operations leadership roles, ideally in manufacturing.
- Proven experience managing production, logistics, and quality functions.
- Experience launching or scaling a production facility is a strong asset.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing environments.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Fluent in English (additional languages such as French or Spanish are a plus).
- Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits, certifications, or global meetings.
