Supply Chain Senior Manager, Contract Manufacturing
Location: Houston, TX (temporary remote; hybrid after :12 months)
Overview
The Supply Chain Senior Manager, Contract Manufacturing oversees all aspects of contract manufacturing—including supply chain, logistics, quality, and regulatory compliance. You will manage co-manufacturer relationships, optimize cost and service levels, ensure regulatory and GMP standards are met, and scale the supply chain to support significant growth.
Key Responsibilities
Supply Chain Leadership
Own end-to-end supply chain strategy: demand planning, procurement, inventory management, production, fulfillment, and logistics.
Manage co-manufacturer relationships from production scheduling and run timing to troubleshooting and performance management.
Lead the annual S&OP process; partner with Finance on demand forecasting and cost-of-goods analyses.
Optimize fulfillment (3PLs, packaging, freight) for DTC and Amazon channels.
Drive operational efficiency, margin improvement, and scalability.
Quality & Regulatory Management
Oversee all Quality Assurance and Regulatory activities across the company.
Ensure co-manufacturers meet GMP requirements; manage supplier audits and documentation.
Review and approve product specifications, COAs, and batch-release documentation.
Partner with R&D and Marketing to review formulas, labels, and claims for compliance.
Manage product complaints, CAPAs, recalls, and third-party certifications (e.g., NSF, Non-GMO, Organic).
Cross-Functional Partnership & Leadership
Collaborate with Marketing on new product launches and commercialization timelines.
Work with Finance on COGS modeling, cost optimization, and cash-flow forecasting.
Partner with Marketing and CX to ensure in-stock performance, smooth launches, and excellent customer experience.
Build, lead, and develop a high-performing operations team as the company scales.
Qualifications
8–12+ years of experience in Operations, Supply Chain, or Contract Manufacturing, ideally within supplements or consumer packaged goods (CPG).
Deep understanding of co-manufacturing environments and contract management.
Proven experience leading GMP, FDA, and FTC compliance programs.
Track record of scaling operations for DTC and Amazon businesses.
Excellent project management, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Data-driven mindset with strong business acumen and financial literacy.
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred (MBA, Food Science, or Engineering).
