Responsibilities:
Creating the skin of the plastic and sheet metal components from the rendered surface data shared by the industrial design team using SolidWorks tool
Detail engineering of system, subsystem and components adhering to the design standards and deliver fail proof product by conducting DFMEA, DFMA & FMEDA
Releasing engineering and fabrication drawings for quotations and final release to initiate manufacture of Bridge / production tools.
Creation of preliminary design concept development
Coordinating with product engineer team to understand the design intent and design reviews with tooling sources
Interaction with CAE to overcome failures in initial level of project and implementing design changes based on the received feedback at each design phase before start of physical test
Preparing and release of Bill of Material (BOM) in the PLM system and updating the same for Engineering change activities
Prototype development for POC and design validation
Report generation for various stages of design release
Skills Set
Should have a hands-on design creating the fabrication container structures.
Knowledge of any battery technology would be added advantage
Good understanding of Electrical circuits are part would be added advantage
Hands on Experience in Solid works to do Proficient (Part and Assembly Modelling) -
Ability to Create New Concepts in Product Design.
Ability to Create surface to Engineering in Product design
Reverse Engineering / Prototype Making
Application of DFM / DFA Tools in Design
2D Drawing Detailing and Exploded View Creation.
Application of Geometrical Dimensional and Tolerance to the Models.
Added advantage of Knowing (AutoCAD or Draft Sight) Software
Manufacturing Knowledge in (Injection Moulding / Sheet Metal / Rubber Moulding)
Co-ordinate with Vendor for Part Development.
