Tredegar Surface Protection has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Production Supervisor to join our Production/Manufacturing Team!
As an integral member of our team, the Sr. Production Supervisor provides leadership, coaching, and feedback to production supervisors and a process coordinator. Manages training of production personnel in equipment operation, safety policies, and procedures. Ensures safety of the team, quality, production, good housekeeping, and teamwork within crew and between other crews. Manages production staffing. Performs other duties as required to promote overall plant effectiveness and customer satisfaction including working a flexible schedule as needed to meet with direct reports and accomplish objectives.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manages training program for production personnel in equipment operations, safety, and policies and procedures to ensure technicians are successfully trained to qualification levels needed to meet production needs.
- Responsible for managing production staffing and scheduling to align technician qualifications with production needs and training opportunities
- Manages production supervisors on all shifts. Works with supervisors to ensure production quality, good housekeeping, and teamwork within crew and between other crews
- Leads Continuous Skills Development (CSD) Tredegar First Class Team
- Provides coaching to supervisors on first-line employee relations matters, personnel attendance, and personnel job performance to ensure consistency across shifts and departments and compliance with policies, procedures and collective bargaining agreement.
- Completes reports, and paperwork in accordance with Company policies and procedures
- Reviews and approves hourly payroll time sheets and assigns, records, and maintains overtime distribution log as needed in absence of production supervisor.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED required. College degree desired
- 12 – 14 years relevant experience with 3 years with direct line supervisor experience
- An equivalent combination of education, experience and training may be considered
