Essential Functions/Key Accountabilities:
- Follow direction provided by Director of Manufacturing.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to, and enforcing, all safety procedures and policies inside and outside the facility, including use of personal protective equipment.
- Represent McLanahan Corporation in a positive manner both internally and externally while adhering to the organization’s core values.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Manage production schedules and dispatch reports to ensure timely material flow and job completion.
- Reallocate work across departments based on backlog and demand fluctuations.
- Monitor job progress, dashboards and reports to identify bottlenecks, variances, and efficiency issues.
- Guide supervisors, leads, and employees and provide tools and resources to resolve issues.
- Conduct meetings to align leadership, communicate expectations, and develop team members for advancement.
- Address conflicts (personnel, process, materials, equipment) and enforce corrective actions when needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety rules and promote a safety-first culture through training, inspections, and incident investigations.
- Monitor safety indicators and lead monthly reviews to drive continuous improvement.
- Review labor efficiency, job losses, and financial performance.
- Develop and control budgets, reduce operational costs, and improve efficiency without compromising quality.
- Drive continuous improvement through LEAN practices and equipment upgrades.
- Coordinate with purchasing, logistics, and other departments to meet production goals.
- Manage staffing levels to meet short- and long-term operational needs.
Education/Qualifications/Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Ten (10) years of experience in a heavy equipment manufacturing environment, holding positions of increased responsibility.
- Prior experience working in a Lean manufacturing environment.
- Prior experience working in an ISO certified environment.

- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to relate well to all types of personalities, including deal with conflict and adhering to established policies.
- Computer literacy including MS Office applications and previous experience with an ERP system, preferably Epicor.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Ability to successfully reach company goals in an environment in which a wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.

Physical Requirements
This position is typically located in an office setting and requires sitting and standing for long periods of time. The position requires ambulatory skills sufficient to travel domestically. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, visual acuity to use a keyboard, and operate standard office equipment. Requires the ability to express or exchange ideas by means of both verbal and written communication.
