A rapidly expanding national compounding pharmacy is seeking an accomplished Director of Operations to lead the day-to-day execution of a high-volume 503A sterile compounding facility serving patients and providers nationwide.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead all aspects of sterile compounding, packaging, fulfillment, and shipping operations.
- Design and implement process improvements to increase speed, quality, and efficiency.
- Partner with the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to ensure full regulatory compliance (USP <795>, <797>, <800>, DEA, DSCSA).
- Maintain multi-state licensure readiness and inspection compliance.
- Manage multi-shift operations and ensure optimal staffing coverage.
- Lead, coach, and develop teams across compounding, quality, and fulfillment functions.
- Track and report KPIs including output, accuracy, turnaround time, and error rates.
- Apply Lean and Six Sigma principles to streamline processes and eliminate inefficiencies.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance and Business Development to support growth initiatives.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of progressive leadership in pharmacy operations, compounding, or healthcare manufacturing (503A/503B preferred).
- Proven success in managing high-volume, multi-state sterile or mail-order pharmacy operations.
- Deep understanding of USP <795>/<797>/<800>, DEA, DSCSA, and state regulatory requirements.
- Skilled in process improvement and performance management methodologies.
- Experienced in managing large, multi-shift teams and achieving measurable KPIs.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
