About the role: The Inventory Control Manager will manage all component and finished good inventory on hand. They will also maintain all inventory data, understanding cycle count, inventory discrepancies, and variance reports.
This role will be fully onsite in our new Mesa, AZ facility (next to the Mesa Gateway Airport).
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages all component and finished good inventory on hand, correcting any discrepancies found within the ERP system / Microsoft Dynamics GP
- Maintains monthly Production totals, variance reports, and slow-moving / obsolete inventory data; supplying management with analysis details for scrap approval
- Initiates cycle count schedule and delegates the specific counts to the Warehouse team, performing secondary / supervisor counts when high quantity discrepancies exist
- Enters all cycle count data into the ERP system upon Warehouse team completion
- Supervises multiple team members, training on proper inventory organization, work order data entry, and ERP system analysis
- Communicates with multiple departments, streamlining procedures and trouble-shooting any logistical issues that may arise
- Acts as backup to the Inventory Control Clerk regarding processing of all internal work orders
- Posts all 3rd party work orders into the ERP system, communicating with the Plant Manager whenever received quantities do not match with initial PO
- Performs all disassembling of internal work orders within Great Plains
- Controls the creation and maintenance of all bin locations, both physically, and systematically within the ERP system
- Runs bi-monthly site adjustments to clear out used packer components and rejected finished goods received back from RMA’s
- Leads weekly warehouse meeting to communicate and improve any potential issues within the department
- Assists all internal team members with any inventory requests or inquiries they may have
- Any additional duties assigned by the Director of Manufacturing Operations.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Prior experience in an Inventory Management role; ideally with direct people management experience.
- Strong computer skills with experience utilizing Excel and Word.
- Must have prior experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with an ability to work effectively across different teams and departments.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and move 450 lbs.
