Continuous Improvement / Lean Manufacturing Leader
Drive operational excellence, cultural transformation, and performance improvement across production environments.
About the Role:
This position leads Lean strategy, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality. You'll work closely with leadership, operations, and frontline teams to implement best practices, optimize workflows, and support organizational change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute Lean and continuous improvement strategies aligned with business goals
- Lead Kaizen events, Lean Six Sigma projects, and cultural change initiatives
- Create and track performance metrics to drive operational efficiency
- Design and improve production cell layouts, line balancing, workflow, and automation plans
- Utilize CAD to model facility and production layouts
- Partner with operations on new equipment capital planning and single-piece flow initiatives
- Enhance Kanban and material flow processes within MRP systems
- Standardize work procedures and support training programs for employees
- Champion Lean tools, train staff, and serve as a primary resource for continuous improvement
- Conduct industrial engineering analyses and recommend process improvements
- Prepare the organization for ISO certification readiness
Qualifications:
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience (10+ years in Lean leadership)
✔ Six Sigma Green Belt required; Black Belt preferred
✔ 5+ years in manufacturing, process improvement, or engineering leadership
✔ Proven success leading hourly and salaried teams in Lean environments
✔ Strong knowledge of Lean tools, KPIs, Kaizen, Kanban, and process optimization
✔ Skilled in CAD for layout planning and workflow design
✔ Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
✔ Experience driving team-based problem-solving initiatives
✔ Strong organizational, planning, and decision-making skills
✔ Able to influence at all levels and foster a culture of continuous improvement
