We're looking for a kind, dependable
Family Care Assistant to help keep our home in Troy running smoothly and to provide companionship and light support for our mom. Our dad handles all of mom's medical care (including medicine, wound care, and transfers) but appreciates having someone who can help with day-to-day routines and be flexible when plans change.
Responsibilities
- Prepare simple, healthy meals (like breakfast or light lunches)
- Feed and spend time with mom, providing company and conversation
- Assist with household tasks — light cleaning, laundry, and organizing
- Run errands such as grocery shopping
- Offer an extra hand when dad needs to get things done or steps out (for example, attending a UD game)
- Be flexible and reliable with scheduling needs as they come up
About This Role
This is a
contractor position paying
$25/hour. We are flexible in terms of schedule but on average anticipate 30 hours per week. Ideally the candidate would have flexibility to occasionally work in the evenings so our dad can go to his grandkid's sporting events.
We're looking for someone warm, trustworthy, and adaptable — someone who enjoys caring for others and keeping a home comfortable and organized. Prior experience with caregiving or household support is appreciated but not required.
