The Director will leverage extensive manufacturing expertise, proven operational excellence, and collaborative leadership to inspire teams, optimize processes, and deliver sustainable results.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
- 8+ years of experience in a high-speed Food & Beverage manufacturing setting.
- Proven expertise in Lean Six Sigma and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) methodologies, with a track record of rolling out new programs effectively.
Summary:
- Ensure Compliance and Quality: Lead adherence to Safe Quality Food (SQF) and food safety requirements, ensuring plant operations comply with corporate policies, customer requirements, and budgetary constraints.
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and set plant objectives aligned with corporate goals and customer needs. Communicate production-related requirements and solutions across departments to meet operational targets.
- Performance Analysis and Reporting: Analyze plant performance metrics, discuss concerns with the management team, and conduct regular production meetings with plant employees and salary associates.
- Operational Oversight: Monitor operating departments to maintain high standards of production quality, sanitation, and safety. Ensure the fulfillment of customer orders meets quality, quantity, and cost specifications.
- Metrics and Resource Management: Manage key business metrics, including yield, labor efficiency, and overhead expenses. Demonstrate leadership to ensure consistent quality and effective communication of goals throughout the plant.
- Regulatory Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and corporate standards. Investigate non-compliance issues, implement strategies to enhance safety, and reduce accidents, energy use, and waste.
- Human Resource Management: Oversee the deployment of human resources, ensuring proper administration of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and effective workforce management.
- Quality and Food Safety Objectives: Review the SQF Annual Review checklist with management, set key food safety objectives, assign responsibilities, and ensure timely completion.
- Site Security and Business Continuity: Manage site security and food defense measures. Lead the Business Continuity Team in decision-making and crisis management, overseeing responses to incidents and ensuring effective continuity planning.
