Having Customer Service experience for a Manufacturing company is a must and Food Manufacturing is a big plus.
Responsibilities
- Receive, process, and monitor customer orders from inception to delivery while coordinating with multiple internal departments (production, shipping, purchasing, R&D, transportation, sales, pricing, quality, and regulatory).
- Ensure current and future customer needs are met and any issues are addressed promptly.
- Enter and maintain customer orders using enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools; regularly update orders based on production plans and plant capacity.
- Collaborate with Operations and Purchasing teams to ensure product availability and on-time delivery.
- Oversee order fulfillment and transportation logistics, ensuring accurate, timely shipments and proactive communication with all stakeholders.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with direct customer contacts and work closely with the sales team to meet overall customer requirements.
- Apply conflict-resolution and problem-solving skills to customer inquiries and concerns, identify root causes, analyze data, and implement effective solutions.
- Contribute to the creation, implementation, and monitoring of programs that improve service levels, reduce customer complaints, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned by the Customer Service Manager to meet key customer requirements.
Required Experience
- Minimum of five years of customer service experience; manufacturing background is a plus.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Solid analytical, reasoning, time-management, and project-management abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with Adobe applications and email platforms such as Lotus Notes (or similar).
- Ability to coordinate multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with a strong sense of urgency and excellent organizational skills.
