The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all manufacturing and administrative operations at the plant. This includes managing production processes, ensuring company policies and procedures are followed, and meeting production deadlines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, effective multitasking, and excellent communication skills, fostering positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and employees.
This position is a customer facing role, dedicated to achieving superior quality, customer service, and operational excellence
Tasks
· Enforce company policies and procedures during all stages of production.
· Create and maintain the production schedule.
· Find ways to reduce production costs.
· Identify and implement strategic visions to improve production, quality, and labor utilization throughout the facility
· Analyze workplace productivity.
· Identify and implement innovative methods into manufacturing processes to reduce costs and improve quality of the product
· Resolve concerns voiced by employees.
Skills
· Interpersonal Skills: Must be able to speak with employees, other department managers and senior management.
· Leadership Skills: Must be able to motivate employees to keep operations running smoothly.
· Problem-Solving Skills: Must be able to quickly ascertain a situation and be decisive in solving it, such as identifying defects in the production line.
· Time Management: Must maintain production deadlines, shipping dates and manage their time accordingly.
· Basic computer literacy. Microsoft software and customer directed software
· Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and safety laws.
· Proven supervisory skills.
· Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
Responsibilities
· Plan, direct, and coordinate all manufacturing operations of production, machinery, shipping and receiving department, including daily and weekly inventory.
· Direct and manage the establishment of material replenishment methods, quality standards, and performance metrics in support of the organizational goals and objectives
· Budget and manage manufacturing cost structures by developing and maintaining operational expenses within budget allowance and investigate cost-reduction measures.
· Ensure that all process line schedules are in accordance with facility capabilities, customer requirements, economic performance, and planning, expediting as needed.
Work experience/ Education:
- Minimum High School Graduate required, post High School education preferred
- Five years of Manufacturing Supervisory experience required
- Manufacturing Administrative experience preferred
- Customer communication experience preferred
- Wood Pallet experience preferred
