Job Summary
Serves as a dynamic and adaptable clinical leader within the Adventist Health system, supporting both enterprise-wide initiatives and local employee health operations. Bridges system strategy and site-level execution by contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of employee health programs across multiple markets. Collaborates with clinical and administrative leaders to promote workforce wellness, regulatory compliance, and occupational safety. Travels to affiliate sites to provide direct support, guidance, and coverage as neededâ€"ensuring consistency, responsiveness, and alignment with system-wide standards.
Job Requirements
Education and Work Experience:
- Graduate from an accredited school/college of nursing: Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing: Preferred
- Two years' relevant experience: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in state of practice: Required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certified: Required
- Certified Occupational Health Nurse certification: Preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Healthstream Basic Life Support (HS-BLS) or RQIBLS or Heartsaver CPR (CPR): Required
Essential Functions
- Collaborates with system leaders to design, implement, and monitor employee health initiatives aligned with organizational priorities and regulatory requirements. Serves as a clinical resource and subject matter expert for site-level employee health teams across the system.
- Provides hands-on support at local facilities when needed, including coverage during staffing gaps, onboarding of new teams, or response to urgent occupational health concerns. Participates in data analysis, process improvement, and policy development for employee health services, bringing a field-informed perspective to system-level decisions.
- Facilitates education, communication, and knowledge-sharing among local and system teams to support standardization, best practices, and continuous improvement. Coordinates with infection prevention, HR, risk, and other departments to ensure integrated approaches to staff safety and wellness.
- Assists in monitoring compliance with employee health requirements (e.g., immunizations, surveillance, exposures) and participates in audits and reporting. Acts as a liaison between system strategy and site-level execution, identifying gaps, barriers, and opportunities for improvement.
- Demonstrates flexibility in shifting between remote, on-site, and cross-market responsibilities based on evolving organizational needs.
