Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and documenting robust and cost-effective manufacturing processes that meet product specifications, safety and quality standards, and customer demand. The Manufacturing Engineer will also design tooling and accessories, evaluate design changes, and recommend process improvements using lean manufacturing principles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and document manufacturing processes, work instructions, and methods aligned with product specifications, safety and quality standards, and customer demand
- Lead the design and development of required tooling and accessories
- Evaluate design and engineering changes, determine production feasibility, and approve release to manufacturing
- Recommend and implement improvements in production processes, methods, and controls
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness
- Collaborate daily with operations leaders, manpower, and quality engineers to resolve production issues
- Monitor process performance indicators to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities
- Support and document processes through appropriate systems and applications
- Provide reports and updates on tasks, projects, and progress to stakeholders
- Participate in daily production and team meetings to communicate progress and address issues
- Perform other related duties as required, with training provided if necessary
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline
- 5+ years of manufacturing experience preferred
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude preferred
- Strong lean manufacturing knowledge and application skills
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and inspire cross-functional teams
- Strong problem-solving and customer service orientation
- Willingness to travel occasionally, as needed
