Description
Job Summary:
- Ensures increasing levels of customer and team member satisfaction while improving the efficiency of
the shipyard operations, including quality, scheduling, labor, materials, and equipment.
Education And Experience
- 10 - 12 years of directly related manufacturing leadership experience required.
- Prior experience with NAVSEA standards and customer product expectations.
- Demonstrated success in deploying Lean Manufacturing principles and process improvement initiatives.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams, including General Foremen, Fabrication Supervisors, Quality,
Scheduling, and Engineering.
- Strong background in ISO9001, AS9100, NQA-1, or other quality management systems.
- Proven ability to develop and implement training plans and process standardization.

- Responsible for the operations of the organization in fabrication, machining, steel processing, finishing,
production, and on time delivery.
- Implement a fully functional and accurate supply chain management/production control infrastructure
utilizing the Company’s MRP/ERP system.
- Manages policy deployment in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction,
complete and on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, visual controls and plant performance in support
of ISO9001:2015 measurables.
- Ensures compliance with company and regulatory standards for all areas of responsibility.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- May be required to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel
regularly.
Work Environment
- Exposure is frequent to moving mechanical parts, airborne particles - eye protection is required, and
fumes, machine vibration, and noisy conditions, high temperatures, and occasional to a restricted
space work area. All Keel locations are tobacco free where appropriate.
