Job Overview/Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Worker to provide essential support to individuals within the community. This role involves assisting with personal care, promoting independence, and ensuring the overall well-being of service users.
Responsibilities
- Support individuals with personal care needs such as washing, dressing, and toileting.
- Assist with medication administration and documentation in line with care plans.
- Prepare meals and assist with eating and drinking where required.
- Promote independence and encourage service users to engage in daily living tasks.
- Build positive relationships with individuals and their families.
- Support emotional well-being and recognise signs of distress or behavioural changes.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in the home.
- Respect confidentiality and maintain professional boundaries at all times.
Primary Skills
- Caring and compassionate approach.
- Strong commitment to putting people first.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Secondary Skills (Good To Have)
- Previous care work experience.
- Familiarity with care plans and documentation procedures.
Qualifications
- Experience preferred but not essential—full training provided.
- Weekend availability (alternative weekends or at least one day per weekend).
