Job Title: Manufacturing Process Engineer – Systems Assembly
Location: San Jose, CA

Swing Shift Schedule: 3:15pm -11:45 pm (30 min break time)
Salary: $115k – 135k
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Manufacturing Process Engineer to support the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of our system assembly processes. In this role, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, improve product quality, and enhance production efficiency in a high-tech manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and refine manufacturing processes and systems for server assembly and related components.
- Develop and test both automated and manual assembly workflows.
- Analyze processes using quality metrics and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with Quality Control to ensure all products meet stringent quality standards.
- Design, install, and validate manufacturing tools, fixtures, and custom equipment.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance and repair services for production equipment.
- Plan and analyze layout for workflows, equipment placement, and space utilization.
- Optimize production lines and machine operations for efficiency and throughput.
- Monitor production costs and assist in budget planning while implementing cost-reduction strategies.
- Train production staff on new and existing processes.
- Work cross-functionally with engineering teams, contractors, and suppliers to address manufacturing challenges and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent work experience.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in system assembly or mechanical manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and familiarity with modern manufacturing technologies.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify process inefficiencies and propose data-driven solutions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on cross-department coordination.
- Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma principles is a plus.
