Provides leadership to the health care team for patient nutritional needs. Assesses patient nutritional needs, develops a personalized nutritional plan of care, and utilizes electronic health record for charting and documentation. Collaborates with physicians, nursing staff, and other multidisciplinary team members to achieve comprehensive patient care. Educates patients on dietary modifications and supports them in achieving their goals.
Demonstrates the ability to deal with pressure to meet deadlines, to be accurate, and to handle constantly changing situations. Demonstrates the ability to deal with a variety of people, deal with stressful situations, and handle conflict.
Will perform all job duties or job tasks as assigned. Will follow and adhere to all requirements, regulations and procedures of any licensing board or agency. Must comply with all Benefis Health System’s organization policies and procedures.
Education/License/Experience Requirements:
- Masters’ degree in course work approved by the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education (CADE) of the American Dietetic Association (ADA) or the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND)
- If credentialed as Registered Dietitians (CDR) prior to January 1, 2024, will be considered under grandfathering provisions
- Registered or Registered-eligible as a Dietitian
- Participates in continuing educational requirements to maintain registration status
- Montana license or license-eligible required
