Manufacturing Analyst
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Manufacturing Analyst with an Engineering background to support production efficiency, materials accuracy, and operational improvement initiatives. This role is responsible for analyzing Bills of Material (BOMs), reviewing and troubleshooting work orders, tracking material transactions, and developing actionable reporting to support manufacturing operations.
This position reports to the Director of Operations Development and ERP.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and validate BOMs for accuracy and completeness.
- Jump in and work with Manufacturing to help process work orders and month end or quarter end tasks.
- Analyze and troubleshoot production work orders and identify variances.
- Investigate and resolve material transaction issues in ERP systems (e.g., backflushing errors, inventory mismatches).
- Generate detailed reports on production performance, scrap, variances, and material usage.
- Collaborate with production, planning, procurement, and inventory teams to identify and correct process inefficiencies.
- Support cost analysis initiatives by providing data and recommendations for process improvements.
- Develop dashboards and KPIs to support manufacturing visibility and continuous improvement.
- Lead root cause analyses on recurring production data issues and implement corrective actions.
- Assist with process mapping, time studies, and standard work documentation when needed.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing, operations, or industrial engineering role.
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.).
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience in discrete manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles and manufacturing costing.

Compensation & Benefits
The base salary range is $100-$130k. In addition, Sciton provides an opportunity to participate in equity/stock incentive programs, a profit-sharing bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package, including 401K with matching.
