VP of Operations (Oil and Gas experience required)
Position Summary
Accountable for the operational, financial and risk management operations of the company, to include the development of financial and operational strategy, metrics tied to the strategy, and the ongoing development and monitoring of control systems designed to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results. Directs manufacturing operations through a team of functional managers and supervisors. Utilizes Traction Tools Entrepreneurial Ownership System as an experienced Integrator to manage meetings, operations and communications across the organization. The position ensures increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower, materials, and equipment. This position is expected to uphold the Why and Culture Principles established by the organization.
Essential Functions
- Provides leadership and leadership development for employee relations and positive company culture through effective communications, coaching, training, and development. Maintains in-depth relations with all members of the management team.
- Utilizes Traction Tools Entrepreneurial Ownership System as an experienced Integrator to manage meetings, operations and communications across the organization.
- Provides strong financial management guidance and direction to the company, including supporting initiatives such as preparing the company for any future acquisitions either domestically or internationally.
- Develops financial and tax strategies, as needed, including managing capital requests, and implementing budgeting processes.
- Oversees the financial operations of any affiliate company(s) and foreign operations as need be.
- Works alongside accounting on funding issues to monitor cash balances and cash forecasts, arranges for debt financing invests cash flow and manages cash flows and manages pension funds.
- Supervises any acquisition due diligence and negotiates acquisitions as needed.
- Works with accounting to oversee the issuance of financial information and reports financial results to the owner on a regular basis.
- Manages policy deployment in the areas of lean manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls, and plant performance measures.
- Recommends and implements operational best practices for the company in all departments.
- Motivates and leads a high- performance executive team in weekly executive team meetings and participates in key decisions as a member of the executive management team.
- Assists in the planning and formulating of the company’s future direction and supporting tactical initiatives, including monitoring, and directing the implementation of strategic business plans.
- Manages material requirements to increase inventory turns and reduce levels on hand.
- Ensures compliance with standards of cost control, waste reduction, quality, safety and complete and on-time delivery at the lowest possible cost.
- Assesses risk management for organization which includes understanding and mitigating key elements of the company’s risk profile, constructing, and monitoring reliable reporting and control systems, and maintaining appropriate insurance coverage.
- Conducts a regular process of review of all company expenditures to seek potential cost reductions/company savings wherever possible.
- Work side by side with Human Resources regarding hiring, terminating and performance management for all employees. This includes helping facilitate quarterly and annual reviews of employees.
- Responsible for annual review of Best Christian Workplace Survey results and implementation of measures to improve overall health of the organization.
- Adheres to all company health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self, staff, and visitors

Minimum Qualifications
- 3 years of experience working as an Integrator in Traction EOS system
- Undergraduate degree in the field of Business, Finance, or similar area of expertise or equivalent experience
- 5 years General Management or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment
- Working knowledge of lean manufacturing practices
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in the field of Business, Finance, or similar area of expertise
- Experience working within a manufacturing ERP system
- MBA Preferred
Supervisory Responsibility
This position is responsible for daily supervision of managers, supervisors, and administrative personnel. Position is responsible for driving the day-to-day success of company KPI’s to include Ship On-Time, Material – Budget vs. Actual, Labor – Budget vs. Actual and Worker Utilization as well as team and individual KPI’s.
Work Conditions/Environment
Majority of work will be performed in an internal office environment working under normal office conditions. Additional environments include, but are not limited to, meeting with customers or other business contacts both in field locations (work sites), customer offices, third party locations and company facilities; exposure to standard construction, manufacturing and engineering lab conditions.
Travel
Occasional travel (less than 20%) may be required un support of position’s responsibilities.
