Summary: The Quality Improvement Leader is responsible for leading continuous improvement and corrective action processes by engaging team members in a collaborative effort. Additionally, they are the key point of contact for Holland in assuring compliance to IATF 16949. Furthermore, they work with Uniform Color Mexico to aid them in resolve quality issues that span across multiple facilities. Some measurable indicators for this position are Customer Complaints, Product Audits, Process Audits, and Open Corrective Action Items.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supervise the Customer Quality Team, mentoring them on problem solving techniques, root cause analysis and customer complaint support.
- Interact closely with customers to resolve a variety of product and process issues.
- Champion the corrective action process for customer complaints using an 8D approach.
- Perform, maintain and facilitate completion of PRIMOS IRA Quality Entries (Customer Complaint, Quality Incident, Process Audit, Product Audit, etc.).
- Issue RMAs (Return Material Authorizations) after investigation.
- Assure and manage compliance at Uniform Color Holland for IATF16949.
- Support Customer Audits and Customer Quality Representatives when needed.
- Assist building Product Control Plans on new BOMs.
- Assist in reviewing, analyzing, and maintaining key quality data throughout the organization.
- Recommend quality modifications or changes to the appropriate departments when necessary.
- Collaborate across Audia Organizations to implement best practices.
- Audit UCC Quality System approved work instructions and procedures and help improve these as needed.
- Responsible for cleanliness of work area and completion of monthly safety requirements and attending UCC Connect Meetings.
- Attend company meetings as designated.
- Responsible for successful facilitation of all company safety policies and procedures.
- Complete other tasks as requested by supervisor or company leadership.
Preferred Experience, Training, and Skills:
- Previous experience in problem solving techniques (5 Why, Fishbone Analysis, 8D Investigations).
- Previous supervisory experience.
- Previous experience with IATF 16949 or similar quality standards.
- Previous quality management/quality systems experience.
- Must pass color test.
- Minimum three (3) years relevant technical experience.
- Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills.
- Strong computer skills and background.
- Strong customer commitment.
Preferred Education: Four
-year degree in Engineering, Science, or related field.
