Overview – SVP, Operations
As a part of the executive management team, you will play a key role in the overall day-to-day operations of the company, making ample use of your strong leadership, problem-solving and communication skills. The incumbent in this role will report directly to the CEO, but will work closely with the CFO and other members of the senior leadership team. You will plan, direct, coordinate and oversee various operational functions, ensuring efficient and cost-effective systems and processes are in place to meet the current and future needs of our growing organization.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Contracts department, providing guidance & support to the manager and staff within that group and working with clients &/or general counsel as needed on complex contract negotiations or legal review of transactions.
- Manage the company’s IT infrastructure and systems, coordinating with subordinates & vendors, to safeguard the company’s assets and maintain security.
- Oversee facilities management for the headquarters and other leased office space, serving as the main point of contact with landlords as needed.
- Ensure efficient management of general administrative duties by subordinates, including general maintenance of the headquarters office space.
- Identify, recommend, and implement new processes, technologies, and systems to improve and streamline organizational processes and use of resources and materials.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to develop and meet company goals while supplying expertise and guidance on operations projects and systems.
- Collaborate with other departments to carry out the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Establish, communicate, and implement operations-related policies, practices, standards, and security measures to ensure effective and consistent support and execution.
- Coordinate with the CFO to ensure the alignment of operations with JA Mitsui Leasing standards.
- Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in operations management.
- May also oversee the company’s Credit, Pricing, and Portfolio Management functions
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the equipment leasing industry.
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience required.
- Strong background in technology and systems related to the leasing industry.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Project management experience &/or formal training a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Solifi software a plus
