We are hiring a "Director of Manufacturing Operations" for one of our premium clients, who is the largest furniture manufacturer in the United States and one of the largest in the world.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Director of Manufacturing Operations to lead and optimize our upholstery production facility. This role requires strategic oversight, operational excellence, and a continuous improvement mindset to manage large-scale teams and complex manufacturing workflows. You will be responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality production while driving cost efficiencies and aligning operations with broader business objectives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a proven track record of delivering results in high-volume manufacturing environments.

What You’ll Do:

Lead Plant Operations:
Direct daily manufacturing activities to ensure high-quality output, cost control, and on-time delivery.
Champion Safety & Compliance:
Maintain a safe, compliant, and high-performing production environment.
Implement Lean & Six Sigma Principles:
Continuously improve operations through Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies.
Optimize Manufacturing Systems:
Leverage MRP, MES, and SPC tools to enhance production flow and data-driven decision-making.
Foster Teamwork & Culture:
Promote collaboration across departments, build strong leadership within teams, and inspire a high-performance culture.

What You’ll Need:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (Required)
Master’s or MBA (Preferred)
10+ years of experience managing a manufacturing facility with 1,000+ employees
Proficiency in MRP systems, Manufacturing Execution Systems, and Statistical Process Control
Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TOC, JIT, or other CI frameworks
