Think is seeking a Plant Manager for a manufacturing facility using a continuous improvement approach. Position the operation for expansion to meet customer needs. Create a culture of strong employee involvement with a focus on embedding safety as a core value across all operations. Oversee production, maintenance, tooling, shipping, and warehousing. Apply behavioral management leadership to foster a motivating environment built on trust and respect.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership for a successful, team-based, day-to-day operation.
- Champion continuous improvement efforts through the application of lean manufacturing techniques.
- Promote and model behavior-based safety processes.
- Coach and develop team leader-level reports to strengthen leadership and employee communication.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
- Remove production constraints and optimize allocation of labor and equipment to meet established goals.
- Collaborate with production control teams to establish schedules and ensure on-time delivery.
- Oversee quality processes and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
- Monitor product consistency and scrap rates to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment.
- Evaluate and adjust staffing and shift structures in alignment with business growth.
- Track and report key operational metrics regularly.
- Communicate important business updates and initiatives to employees in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify equipment and process upgrades required to support market demand.
- Maintain facility readiness for executive-level site visits.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
- 10–15 years of experience in production or maintenance with progressively increasing supervisory responsibilities.
- Demonstrated experience in implementing Lean manufacturing techniques, including pull systems.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.
