Assists the Medical Records Director in the daily functions of the Medical Records Department.
Review, complete and close deceased/discharged medical records. Maintain and update medical
Records policies and procedures according to current state and federal regulations. Provide
Clerical support as needed to the Medical Records Director.
Must function as part of the Medical Records Department, have flexibility, personal integrity and the ability to work effectively with residents, personnel and support agencies. Must be computer literate, able to work in a Windows environment. Must be able to communicate with the medical staff, nursing personnel and other department supervisors.

Essential Physical And Mental Job Requirements
Must be proficient in reading and writing and understand the spoken and written word. Must be able to apply good sound judgement while applying the Medical Records Policies. Must have some computer skills. Must be able to hear with corrective or adaptive devices and see adequately with corrective eyewear. Must have simple computational skills such as addition, subtractions, multiplication, division and percentages. Must be able to sit/stand for long periods of time, bend at knees and waist, push and pull, turn and lift a minimum of 50lbs.
