The University of Maryland Shore Regional Health, part of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), is seeking a Geriatrician or Internal Medicine physician with a strong interest in geriatrics to join our growing outpatient primary care team in Chestertown, Maryland.

Job Description
- Outpatient practice based in a multispecialty suite, with a Monday–Friday schedule and shared call responsibilities.
- Focused care for patients aged 55 and older, emphasizing chronic disease management, preventive care, and whole-person wellness.
- Opportunity to lead and shape the direction of geriatric services in a close-knit, community-focused setting.
- Collaborate closely with a broad range of specialists and primary care providers dedicated to improving outcomes for older adults.
Ideal Candidate:
- Board-certified in Internal Medicine or Geriatrics
- Fellowship-trained in Geriatrics (preferred)
- At least 5 years of experience working with older adult populations
- A passion for delivering compassionate, high-quality, patient-centered care

Qualifications
- Possess a Medical degree, completion of medical residency.
- Possesses and maintains current Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Geriatrics or Internal Medicine
- Possesses and maintains current license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland required or ability to acquire an unrestricted license.
- Possesses and maintains current DEA or similar Narcotics and Controlled Substances Certification required.
- Possesses and maintains, if applicable, appropriate clinical privileges at a minimum of one UMMS affiliated acute care facility.
- Demonstrates meeting minimum CME requirements for licensure and board certification.
Additional Information
- Annual Salary $267,597.00. The listed compensation reflects the median range based on current MGMA and SullivanCotter benchmarks. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s experience, training, and qualifications.
- Additional incentives may include a generous sign-on bonus ($20–25K), a housing allowance of up to $50K toward a home purchase in the first year, OR relocation assistance up to $10K, along with a productivity-based bonus structure.
