Your Role
As an NCLEX Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting nursing students throughout their academic journey. You will assess student progress, provide personalized tutoring and coaching, and develop strategies that enhance test-taking skills and clinical judgment. Your expertise will help students build confidence, master critical concepts, and pass the NCLEX-PN exam with success.
Key Responsibilities
- Comprehensive Course Instruction & NCLEX Review: Teach final nursing seminar and review courses, ensuring students in their graduating semester integrate everything they have learned into a strong foundation for NCLEX preparation and clinical practice
- Academic Coaching & Remediation: Work with students one-on-one or in small groups to assess their knowledge, identify areas for improvement, and create personalized learning plans to strengthen clinical reasoning skills
- NCLEX Preparation & Study Strategies: Guide students in understanding testing results, developing effective study habits, and implementing remediation techniques tailored to their learning styles
- Tracking & Reporting Progress: Monitor student performance on course exams and standardized tests, track trends, and provide regular feedback to faculty and the Nursing Program Administrator to ensure continued student growth

Requirements
What You Need:
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) and a Master's/Doctorate in education or Master's/Doctorate in Nursing
- A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Registered Nurse, with recent clinical practice experience
- A minimum of 5 years' Nursing Faculty or NCLEX success experience, with a proven track record of successful outcomes
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse License in Illinois
- A passion for education and the ability to connect with a diverse group of students
- A commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment
