Are you passionate about helping patients access the care they need? We're seeking a
Patient Access Coordinator—also known as a
Healthcare Enrollment Specialist or
Inbound Sales Representative—to join our fast-growing team. In this vital role, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients and families calling to learn more about our services, including hospice, home health, behavioral health, care management, and primary care.
As a
Patient Access & Enrollment Specialist, you’ll guide patients through the enrollment process, educate them on care options, verify insurance coverage, and convert inbound inquiries into active participants in our programs. This role is ideal for someone with a strong healthcare customer service or call center background who thrives in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle inbound calls from prospective patients, caregivers, and referral sources with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency.
- Conduct eligibility screenings and assist with enrolling patients in the appropriate service lines (hospice, home health, primary care, behavioral health, care management).
- Act as a Healthcare Inbound Sales Representative, converting inquiries into enrollments through effective communication and needs-based education.
- Explain care programs and service offerings to help patients and families make informed decisions.
- Collaborate with patients and insurance carriers to ensure coverage is current and supports care enrollment.
- Partner cross-functionally with care teams to ensure seamless onboarding and high patient satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate documentation of all patient interactions, screenings, and enrollments using EMR or CRM systems.
- Meet or exceed performance metrics, including call volume, conversion rates, and customer satisfaction scores.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Social Work, or related field preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in healthcare, inbound call center, patient access, or healthcare enrollment.
- Familiarity with insurance plans (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial) and medical terminology preferred.
- Strong sales mindset, with the ability to engage and convert potential patients through effective communication.
- Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to demonstrate empathy and patience.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and EMR/CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, etc.).
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Schedule:
- Monday – Friday (8-hour shifts)
- Flexibility may be required for occasional weekend coverage or based on team needs.
