Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (Permanent Role)
Location: Irving, TX, 75061
Shift: 12 HR Nights | 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients, including monitoring fetal and maternal well-being.
- Assist with labor and delivery procedures, including vaginal and cesarean deliveries.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, including epidurals and oxytocin.
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Educate and support expectant mothers and their families throughout the labor and postpartum process.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient medical records.
- Respond to emergencies and perform life-saving interventions as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Nursing program (Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing).
- Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of Texas.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification – must be obtained within 30 days of hire if not current.
- Minimum 2 years of recent Acute Care experience in Labor and Delivery.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
