Are you passionate about improving dementia and Alzheimer’s care in long-term care settings? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and dedicated SecureCare Consultant to join our team!
Your Impact as a Secure Care Trainer / Advisor
In this role, you will:
- Consult with facility staff using the materials and resources of the SecureCare Program to assist in caring for residents during challenging situations.
- Train staff using SecureCare program materials, implementing and promoting policies, procedures, and guidelines that support evidence-based dementia care.
- Model and coach non-pharmacological strategies for responding to behavioral expressions, especially in place of psychotropic medication use.
- Work closely with SecureCare team members who manage facilities to provide oversight, training, and support.
- Conduct scheduled TEAMS calls with the SecureCare team to provide training and guidance.
- Conduct scheduled area meetings in local markets to deliver in-person training and consultation
What Makes You a Great Fit
- We’re looking for someone who:
- Registered Nurse (RN) preferred
- Extensive experience in Dementia, Alzheimer’s, and Secured Unit Care
- Knowledge of activity programming for secured units
- Willingness to become SecureCare Certified
- Exceptional communication and program development skills
- High energy, enthusiasm, and genuine compassion for the elderly and individuals with disabilities
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities
- Ability to uphold the Patient Bill of Rights and Employee Responsibilities
