Job Overview/Summary
We are seeking an experienced Formulation Scientist to join our pharmaceutical manufacturing team. This role involves developing and optimizing formulations, supporting product scale-up, and ensuring compliance with GMP standards and FDA regulations. The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and efficient pharmaceutical products.
Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize formulations and manufacturing processes for pharmaceutical products
- Collaborate with Product Development (PD) teams to plan and execute pilot and scale-up batches
- Analyze in-process data to determine and support optimal manufacturing parameters
- Provide technical support during initial production runs of new or reformulated products
- Assist in technology transfer, commercial support, and troubleshooting formulation/process challenges
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions as needed
- Ensure compliance with FDA regulations, cGMP standards, SOPs, and other quality systems
- Prepare and summarize data from formulation stability studies
- Train manufacturing personnel on new processes and updates
- Support documentation activities related to GMP, batch records, and process validation
Primary Skills

Secondary Skills (Good To Have)
- Experience with technology transfer and commercial product support

- Familiarity with experimental design (DoE) and data analytics
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or related field
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or formulation development
- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical GMPs and regulatory requirements
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
