Job Summary and Qualifications
What you will do in this role:
- Utilizing standardized menus for setting up individual patient trays with required products.
- Utilizes standardized menus for setting up individual patient trays with required products.
- Maintains portion control using standardized menus.
- Maintains standards for sanitation in the preparation of all food products.
- Assembles serving line items for easy access.
- Sets up condiment area with food products, beverages, and required condiments appropriate for menus.
- Sets up condiment area with dishes, silverware, and other tray items as needed.
- Maintains equipment and work areas in a sanitary and safe condition.
- Adheres to schedules for all cleaning of all equipment and food preparation areas.
- Provides routine maintenance and care of all equipment with reporting of problems.
- Uses equipment effective and safe.
- Assembles and delivers items to patient care areas as needed to include:
- Performs other related duties as assigned by Dietitian.
- Follows standardized menus accurately in preparing all patient trays.
- Utilizes principles of infection control and sanitation in the preparation, serving, and storage of food products use in tray service.
- Utilizes appropriate safety and sanitation principles in the provision services.
- Utilizes appropriate body mechanics in the moving and lifting of supplies and equipment.
- Utilizes appropriate precautions related to infection control in relation to maintenance of equipment, supplies, the environment, and personal hygiene activities.
- Utilizes knowledge of standards for attractive food service in preparation of individual patient trays.
- Communicates effectively verbally and in writing to fulfill position responsibilities.
What qualifications you will need:
- Food Handlers/Safety, or Serv Safe Food Protection Manager, or Food Safety Certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
