The Director of Manufacturing will be responsible for overseeing the manufacturing operations ensuring efficient production processes, maintain high safety standards, and lead a dedicated team to meet our organizational goals.
Essential Functions
- Oversee all production activities for planning, controlling, and coordinating the entire range of manufacturing activities of the organization.
- Manage warehouse and shipping operations to ensure efficient inventory control and logistics.
- Drive process improvements and implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance transmission/engine production efficiency and reduce costs.
- Establish direction for new processes / systems / solutions of production planning and manufacturing.
- Provide a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures.
- Prepare and present regular reports on production metrics, safety incidents, and operational efficiency to senior management.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement best practices to enhance productivity.
- Develop and manage the plant budget, monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage and develop Manufacturing Supervisors, fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement
- Directs plant organizational strategies by contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to strategic thinking and direction; establishing functional objectives in line with organization goals.
Position Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Business Management, Engineering or related field with 8+ years relevant experience.
- Masters Degree in Business Management, Engineering or related field with 6+ years relevant experience.
- 3+ years experience leading a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong understanding of production processes and quality control methodolgies
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
- Excellent communication and people management skills
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skilsl
